Club mac alcudia deals 2014
Food was lovely something for everyone and changed nightly to different themes, there's a children's corner too so plenty choice for the kids too. The pools were great my kids loved them and was plenty to choose from.
Entertainment was great for my 4yr old she loved macky and myessha, seen them get married she loved that too. All of the team were great real fun. Our holiday was a one to remember, very relaxed and very enjoyable and would recommend to a family. We would love to return but have to wait till next year The staff was good always there to help, the reps were around wen they said they would be so any questions were easily answered.
As I said a great holiday for us, as we wanted a relaxed one and didn't want to venture very far, there is a free bus to the port and the beach daily which was good. Looking forward to going back.
It was a very up and down hoiday, after getting on the night Fight to Palma Nova. Heading to Alcuida my suitcase never arrived. We were staying in the Jupiter Hotel, when we booked we didnt realise it was 3 Hotels together, I was slighty let down thinking that it would be packed! When daylight came, going down to the First Choice Desk. Cleaners were already up on the go, They never stop. It was fantastic! The room was cleaned every day, the hallways were spotless, They never stopped!

The food: every everything was good for a week, every evening, it wasa differnt theme, but it repeated after a week, for me it was good, but for friends who went for10 days they were getting bored. The pools were nice and big and wasnt over crowded. They had load of sun beds, and sme away from the poo so you were not surrounded by kids! The port was fantastic at night! The room was basic but did the job and the balcony was an okay size. We have been looking at this hotel online for a couple of years and had fancied it but the prices were too high, we wanted to get away for our 9 year old's birthday and they prices had reduced somewhat so we booked.
The complex is made up of three hotel blocks, Marta, Saturno and Jupiter. Marta was closed as it was end of season. There seemed to be very few staying in Saturno and we stayed in Jupiter. The weather was still fantastic at the beginning of October but the biters were out in force in the evenings and I was bitten alive. I have to say however this was the only downfall of the entire holiday.
The evening entertainment was in an outdoor area called the Circus which had tiered seating as well as tables and seats in front of a stage. There were queues for the drinks but you can rent a tray to carry 4 at a time so we rented 2 and were able to carry 4 each at a time and that avoided unnecessary queuing ; the entertainment was fantastic, from a Queen musical one night, a Take That tribute act, there was something every night as well as the kids disco and bingo.
There was also a different entertainment at the Saturno plaza if the family entertainment wasn't your thing. It is an ideal resort for children. There is a fantastic kids club which takes them for a couple of hours in the morning and again in the afternoon. There are three clubs for 3 age groups, smallies, pre-teens, and teens.
We only used the smallies so can only comment on that. They do a parade once every two weeks to celebrate Mischa's birthday. Macky and Mischa are the club mascots, but there is Dizzy the Dolphin and Shades the Shark making an appearance too. The entertainment team are fantastic; our girls fell in love with Dominica.
They did t-shirt making, competitions, water fights, arts and crafts, singing and dancing, they had a great time. In the evening local traders come in and set up little market stalls around the lake which creates a lovely atmosphere, although they are a little expensive. There was a snake show one day over at Saturno. You really do not need to leave the place if you don't want to as it's so big and there is lots going on.
The pools are lovely and clean, and there are a lot of them, I found we chose a favourite and stayed there and most people did the same.
Advantages of booking on the official website:
There were adult games going on during the day around the pools including aqua aerobics and Zumba! There was one rainy day and the team set up an indoor competition where you went from station to station completing tasks like bouncing a Ping-Pong ball into a table of different shaped drinks cups for points, basketball, darts into a balloon, soccer. It took place in Jupiter Hotel and space was a little tight but to be expected. There are pedal boats available for free on the lake but only at certain times.
There was donkey riding by the lake too, also for a price. There is also a doctor on site but is expensive unless you have travel insurance. The nearest chemist is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. From this street you can also get buses around the island. Formentor is a beautiful place where there is a 5 star hotel where Princess Grace got married. The beach there is like paradise, white sand, palm trees and crystal blue water, well worth a visit.
The lifts in Jupiter were busy and we were only on the 2nd floor so took the stairs most of the time. My husband and eldest daughter were particularly taken with the dessert station, eating approximately 5 different desserts every night! The food was nice and I am fussy but managed to find something every day. The bedroom we had in Jupiter was noisy Room , facing out to the main pool area with people coming home drunk singing in the mornings and the whole hotel could do with a bit of modernising but we didn't pay over the odds for this holiday so we didn't mind.
I brought my ear plugs and sleeping eye mask and was fine. Beds were made every day and towels changed every other day. The waterpark was included with our package. It was only alright as our kids were a little young. There's a wave pool that was great fun with the inflatable boats we had bought our girls. You need to buy sunbeds while there which are not cheap. Alcudia beach is approximately 15 minutes walk away and is lovely. Lots of nice bars and eateries along the promenade.

If you're really fussy with your food there's a Burger King 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. There's a Spar just out across the road from the hotel. This made her whole holiday. The kids really enjoyed the holiday and are begging for us to return again which we plan to do.

A bit of a mixed bag this one. I'll try to group the good and bad but I fear this review is going to look so scatter gun. Food aplenty, scenic views, friendly service and some good excursions. The whole place seems in need of an update.
